الطائر هي لعبة أركيد ثنائية الأبعاد سريعة الإيقاع، يتحكم اللاعب فيها بطائر صغير يحلّق عبر مجموعة من الأنابيب المتحركة.
يجب على اللاعب النقر المستمر للحفاظ على الطائر في الهواء وتجنب الاصطدام بالعوائق.
الهدف الأساسي بسيط لكنه مليء بالتحدي: تحقيق أعلى درجة ممكنة من خلال المرور عبر الأنابيب بنجاح.

تتميز اللعبة بتصميم بصري بسيط وملوّن مع خلفية مشمسة لمدينة، مما يمنحها طابعًا كلاسيكيًا مع صعوبة تتزايد تدريجيًا لتجعل التحدي أكثر متعة مع كل محاولة جديدة.
